We are pleased to offer the following service when a cleaning dispute arises between you and your dry cleaner.

The staff at DCAS are very aware that you might not have used a fault analysis service before and consequently may be slightly apprehensive. We are also aware that the article is personal to you and therefore precious, but please be assured that we have over twenty five years experience in this specialised field and your item will not be damaged in any way during the examination process. We promise to provide you with a qualitative report without delay and the article will be carefully packaged and insured against loss or damage before it is posted back to you (please see terms & conditions).

DCAS Report

DCAS will offer expert guidance and provide an impartial, signed report which will be posted out within 7 working days from receipt of the article, complaint forms and fee. The report will be unambiguous and based on information received and detailed examination.

Garments - This report is available for a fee of £85.00 which is fully inclusive of return postage, insurance etc.

Upholstery/Curtains - This report is available for a fee of £95.00 which is fully inclusive of return postage, insurance etc.

Please note that the reports do not qualify for use in the County Court under the small claims procedure.

The reports sole intention is to help you and your dry cleaner find a resolution to your dispute with a view to avoiding litigation which can be costly, time consuming and stressful.

In order for DCAS to provide you with the best possible service will you please:-

  • 1. Post the article via the Royal Mail Special Delivery Service (please note that Couriers will not deliver to a PO Box) together with the completed complaint forms/fee we regret that we cannot accept wedding dresses or rugs/carpets. For items which are too large for Royal Mail Special Delivery please use Parcelforce.
  • 2. If possible, ensure that both the complaint forms are completed (we can contact the cleaner on your behalf if you prefer) and enclose photocopies of any relevant documents you have.
  • 3. Enclose a cheque (or postal order) made payable to DCAS, or for payment by BACS please contact us via email at for details.
